Deer in flower crown embroidery pattern - PDF pattern

Only 100 left in stock

This listing is for an instant download PDF embroidery pattern, that will become available after check out, it is not for a physical product.

This pattern is based on my Crowned Deer polymer clay illustration. (You can find the original and the greeting card (only for NL residents) and the instant download print here on my site as well).

It is a lovely pattern for beginners with only five different stitches. It can easily be embroidered in a more challenging way for more experienced embroiderers by thread painting the full body and face of the deer.

It fits nicely into a 21 cm/8 inch embroidery hoop. You can scale up or down to fit your needs of course. Do keep in mind that the smaller you print out the pattern, the trickier the small, close together details will be around the antlers, especially when it comes to transferring the pattern to your fabric.
Another tip to help you decide on your fabric for this pattern: don't use too thick fabric or fabric that is thickly and unevenly woven. It will be fairly tricky to see through your fabric to the printed pattern if you use the light method and when using carbon paper, it might become to smudgy in the small details. Use a nice light fabric that you can easily see through.

For the embroidery shown in the pictures here, I used quite a few different shades of thread colours, if this might become too costly for you, you can absolutely reduce the amount of floss you need to use, by choosing only one shade of brown, green and pink/red. It will still look absolutely lovely.

This can be used for your own crafty delight but would also make a great gift for a friend. I bet this would look amazing as a wall hanging or on the front panel of a cushion.

You will receive for download two PDF files, one in English and one in Dutch that contains
- The pattern to print.
- A guide to the materials to use for this embroidery
including the floss colours used in the embroidery seen here.
- Full instructions on how to stitch each stage of this pattern with photos.
- A stitch guide on my most used stitches with written instructions alongside graphs on how to work these stitches.
- A guide on how to trace your pattern to your fabric.
All these instructions come in an English language file and a Dutch language file.

This is a PDF download only, so you will need to get your own fabric, embroidery floss, needle, embroidery hoop, and either dressmaker's carbon paper or a tracing pen that can be washed out or removed by heat.
This can all be found quite easily online. For Dutch customers, send me a message if you need tips on where to find these.
Please also make sure that you have a PDF reader (e.g. Adobe Acrobat), and access to a printer.

Send me a message if you have any questions or need any help, I will be absolutely happy to help.
