Red and Blue Art Yarn Bracelet with Polymer Clay Flower Ornament
This boho bracelet is called:
"Beautiful China"
It's inspired by all the beautiful colours in Chinese art.
The reds and blues and golds. And the beautiful elaborate dresses of the stunning Chinese princesses.
This hippie bracelet was made from a long strand of beautiful, soft red and blue hand spun coiled art yarn. The yarn has beautiful shades of electric blue, bright red and soft grey.
This flower wrist corsage was gathered together and sewn together at the ends to make a loop and button closing.
It was adorned with silk millinery flowers in moss green, deep cherry red and aubergine dark purple, they were hand sewn on the bracelet and look almost like fluttering butterflies. One of them has an amethyst purple crystal bead sewn into its center.
The centerpiece is a hand sculpted 'embroidered' polymer clay ornament on a brass coloured filigree, shaped like an ancient sun carving.
The ornament is covered with a blue flower with a gold rhinestone heart, adorned with petals and vines in copper gold, red, green and blue.
The bracelet closes with a dark red vintage button.
It is 20 cm long and a little bit stretchy.
It's a little over 6 cm wide. The clay ornament is 3,5 cm in diameter and a little over 0,5 cm thick.
The beautiful yarn was hand spun by Heather Moon Yarns from Scotland.
I love working with handspun yarn, the colours and textures are like nothing else! And so vibrant! It's also much more eco-friendly since no machinery is used to produce it. And I love that I can support other artisans with my work, too.
