Red and Black Goth Crochet Feather Headband with Polymer Clay Bat Ornament

"Halloween in the 20's"

This Goth flapper headband is perfect for all your Halloween themed parties or any party really, if you like romantic, gothy accessories like me. It can be used to go with your Lolita outfit or burlesque outfit or to adorn your head during your goth wedding.

It is hand crocheted from hand dyed and hand spun merino wool in cherry red and dark red.

It is adorned with lace flowers to the left side of you head and a center piece to the right side of your head, consisting of velvet millinery flowers and leaves in cherry red, black and violet, and cruelty free rooster feathers in deep wine plum purple and black.

All of this is topped with a beautiful bold, hand sculpted polymer clay button in golden red, adorned with a black silvery bat in flight, surrounded by 2 black daisies and a thorny vine, on which sit 3 silvery black roses. The daisies have hearts of white crystal rhinestones.

Over the front side of the band, black sequins were sewn on. All items were carefully sewn on by hand.

The band closes with a loose black satin ribbon, so it fits any head. The band is 49 cm long and 2,5 cm high. The flower and feather center piece is 16 cm high from the bottom tip of the black leaf to the tip of the black feather, and 10 cm wide between the tips of the cherry red leaves. The button is a little over 3 cm in diameter and 1 cm thick. The center piece is not heavy, so the head band stays in place as long as you're wearing it. The black ribbon is about 33 cm long.

I love working with handspun yarn, the colours and textures are like nothing else!
It's also much more eco-friendly since no machinery is used to produce it.
