Green Art Yarn Bracelet with Polymer Clay Flower Cameo
This beautiful golden green art yarn bracelet is called
"Autumn Sunset"
It was made with hand dyed and hand spun art yarn, spun from New Zealand Polwarth, in varying shades of green, wrapped with gold thread.
It was gathered together and sewn together at the ends to make a loop and button closing.
It is adorned with a velvet millinery flower in dark burgundy purple. On it the centerpiece was hand sewn on. It is a hand sculpted 'embroidered' golden moss green polymer clay ornament on a copper coloured, sun shaped filigree. The ornament is covered with a golden flower with an iridescent green rhinestone heart. From it flow golden sunbeam tendrils, some of them with tiny purple leaves edged along them. The ornament was lightly dusted with golden shimmer.
The bracelet closes with a vintage pearly button with golden rimming.
It is 21 cm long and just a little bit stretchy.
I love working with handspun yarn, the colours and textures are like nothing else!
And so vibrant! It's also much more eco-friendly since no machinery is used to produce it. And I love that I can support other artisans with my work, too.
The art yarn used was hand dyed and hand spun by the awesome Suzy from
