Blue Art Yarn Cocoon Necklace with Large Turquoise Polymer Clay Flower Pendant

This bold and beautiful statement pendant necklace is called

"Flowers are Blooming"

I made this art yarn necklace with a luxurious blue and water colours art yarn that I handspun myself. It is super soft and has a beautiful bubbly and cocoon-y texture. It contains lushious fibers such as soft merino, silk, sparkly angelina and kid mohair locks.

I sewed three strands together in loops at the end and attached a pretty pewter vintage button that came from my gran's vintage button collection, for the closure. From the closure hangs another strand so that is very cool to wear with a backless dress.

This necklace has a large hand sculpted polymer clay flower pendant. The pendant has a large round hand painted patina filigree in grape purple and turquoise. It is quite the shabby chic statement piece! On it was hand sculpted a gold streaked turquoise cameo which is adorned with a candy pink flower and a dusty rose one, from which sprouts many a petaled vine and lovely leaves. There are colours of purple, lime green, teal and gold. The flowers have rhinestone hearts in aqua blue and fuchsia pink.

The pendant is 8 cm in diameter and quite light weight. The clay cameo is 5 cm in diameter.
